Blood and Infusion Warmer – Application

The blood and infusion warmer is intended to warm intravenous fluids, crystalloids, colloids and blood components before administration to patients. It is clinically applied for rapid or massive infusion and transfusion during major surgery, trauma resuscitation, emergency treatment and intensive‑care therapy, to prevent inadvertent perioperative hypothermia caused by cold infused liquids. The device helps maintain the patient’s core body temperature within the normal physiological range, reducing hypothermia‑related complications such as coagulation dysfunction, surgical‑site infection and arrhythmia. Used under specified temperature and flow‑rate limits, it avoids red‑blood‑cell haemolysis and ensures transfusion safety.
