SHANGHAI, April 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The 93rd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) will be held from April 9 to 12 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. As the world’s largest exhibition covering the entire medical equipment industry chain, this year’s event, under the theme of “Innovation and Integration, Endless Evolution,” will focus on cutting-edge technology and international trade cooperation.
The exhibition will occupy a total area of over 320,000 square meters and bring together approximately 5,000 brands and companies from over 20 countries and regions. More than 200,000 professional visitors and buyers from 150 countries and regions are expected to attend.
This year, CMEF showcased the rapid development of artificial intelligence, unveiling a number of new “AI + Healthcare” products that are changing the industry landscape. Among them is the global debut of an AI agent capable of performing “one scan, multiple diagnoses,” enabling the simultaneous detection of diseases in different parts of the body. A professional AI-based diagnostic software suite is already being used in clinical practice, and an integrated platform for AI training and inference will enhance the computing power of healthcare institutions.
Thanks to advances in medical robotics, this exhibition will showcase new products covering areas such as surgery, rehabilitation, and elderly care, bringing the field to a higher level of intelligence and precision.
For the first time, CMEF has created a “Future Technologies” exhibition area, dedicated to three main themes: brain-computer interfaces (BCI), embodied intelligence, and innovative university achievements. This area will showcase cutting-edge products such as an AI-based MRI diagnostic system for Alzheimer’s disease, a BCI system for assessing and training cognitive impairments, and exoskeleton robots.
The China-US Trade Fair (CMEF) is also a vital hub for global business and industrial cooperation. The international exhibition venue will bring together exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, showcasing the latest global innovations, including those from Germany, the United States, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
As part of the updated series of international “We” branded events, CMEF will feature the WeTalk Stage, featuring presentations from representatives of foreign consulates, leading industry associations, and multinational corporations; the WeMatch Center, designed to precisely match partners based on verified buyer needs; and the International WeTour, offering customized itineraries for international visitors to gain a deeper understanding of exhibitors’ products and services. The Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia, will host a series of high-level events, including the 3rd GHWP Symposium on Innovative Medical Devices and the ASEAN Forum on Medical Devices Innovation and Cooperation (Shanghai). Local meetings will address regulatory frameworks and access opportunities in key global markets to promote convergence and harmonization of international regulatory frameworks for medical devices and improve the efficiency of global trade.
